The map is a decent improvement over the current GPS that is used now. I tested it on my new 2012 Cadillac Escalade EXT .

Yes the update, along with a 6.5" screen and SD Card slot, is on a 2012-2013 Escalade and I can confirm that the CUE updates and features are the same as an Escalade EXT.
